My DOEN

Strong teams for powerful work

In a rapidly changing world, its essential that DOEN employees are able to focus on external events and supporting pioneers. To do that, we need a “home” with a solid foundation. That’s why we work continuously to improve our organisation and keep our house in order.

A sturdy base

We worked on fortifying our homein 2024. For example, we successfully migrated our administration system to Oracle NetSuite and put other new systems in place to help us work more efficiently. Change isnt a sprint but a processTime and focus are required as we evolve as a financier of system change and innovation. With the pace of life accelerating fast, our focus remains firmly on long-term trust-based relationships, external and internal. Our 2023–2027 Strategic Compass sets out three key pillars of our work: remaining adaptive in a changing world, investing in professional and team development, and displaying leadership by setting a good example.

Tangible results

In 2024, we built upon steps taken the previous year guided by our new compass. We also worked on a sound, futureproof new HR policy containing a revamped strategy and a clear division of roles. Workload remains an important area of concern.

We’re enhancing transparency of decision-making by involving teams more in the process. This promotes inclusion and participation.

Learning and connection

Our living strategy enables us to anticipate change. By investigating practical areas for learning and sharing knowledge with our partners, we stay informed about crucial transitions. Social inclusion, the regenerative economy and the power of imagination are at the heart of our work. Our teams continue to build, experiment and learn to strengthen their expertise in these areas. Each year we hold 10 learning and connection days for all the teams. Together we delve into key topics, such as funding the transitions, hear from invited partners and speakersand hold workshops.

Setting an example

We made good progress on diversity and sustainability in 2024. A new Equality, Diversity and Inclusion strategy lays the foundations for an organisation that reflects the future were striving to create. And we lowered our carbon footprint in 2024 by making deliberate choices in how we travel and work.
