My DOEN

Postcode Loterij & VriendenLoterij

The DOEN Foundation was established in 1991 by the Nationale Postcode Loterij (Dutch Postcode Lottery). Extending and supplementing the lottery, DOEN’s mission is to support organisations in relation to people and the planet. DOEN has received an annual contribution from the VriendenLoterij (FriendsLottery) since 1998.

About the Nationale Postcode Loterij

The Nationale Postcode Loterij was founded in 1989 to support charitable organizations working towards a just, healthy, and green world. The lottery raises funds for its charity partners and helps to promote their work. More than 3 million participants take part in the Postcode Loterij.

Everybody Wins

In the Postcode Loterij, your postcode is your ticket number. And that ticket sets something positive in motion. Each month, participants and their neighbors who also play stand a chance to win hundreds of thousands of prizes. At the same time, they support more than 150 charitable organizations each year, with a minimum of 40 percent of each ticket price going to these causes. This is the power of community what we call The Power of Postcodes. Since its founding, the Postcode Loterij has donated €8.4 billion to people and the planet. Stichting DOEN and many other organizations receive support each year.

Postcode Lottery Group

The Postcode Loterij is part of the Postcode Lottery Group, a social enterprise that has introduced its unique lottery format in five European countries. The goal is to raise as much money as possible for good causes through our lotteries. The Postcode Lottery Group is the world’s largest private charity donor. In 2024, it donated a record amount of €969 million to charitable and cultural partners. The shares of the Postcode Lottery Group are 100% owned by a foundation.
