In the performances RIGHTLY and Contra, theatre company Wabi Sabi highlights unheard stories and perspectives about the criminal justice system and law enforcement. Different
Policymakers from all layers of institutions (including the judiciary, managers and police on the street) to the people in society who are directly involved with these institutions, such as (ex) prisoners, their families, victims, police officers, mayor and disorderly groups are involved in the creative process. This makes experiences palpable and insightful
and the performances may contribute to the removal of prejudices, the showing of blind spots and positive change in these systems.
