Tiro Association for Arts from Lebanon creates cultural sanctuaries in places where they hardly exist anymore. Together with young people and artists, Tiro transforms old cinemas in the south (Tyre) and the north (Tripoli) of the country into meeting places for cultural activities. Through a bus, exchanges take place between young people and communities from the north with those from the south and they develop joint productions and festivals. Tiro offers these young people hope, mutual understanding and an alternative perspective on their existence. This is hugely important in a country plagued by various crises and divergent interests.
