Standard Microgrid: Reimagining the African Utility
Standard Microgrid provides clean energy to residents of remote areas in Zambia. Via mini-grids, built in simple shipping containers, tailor-made energy is supplied in an innovative way by means of smart software. The containers are run by local, female managers. With the roll-out of 10 grids, Standard Microgrid shows a successful model that can serve as an example for others.
