L’instant thé - Stichting DOEN

L’instant thé from Mali is a program that develops videos and a television program together with young people, giving them an active voice in shaping their own living environment through participatory projects in their neighborhood, training, coaching, organizing meetings with experts and workshops with artists. The focus is on the world of the young people, because the initiative connects with and builds on the ‘grins’: groups of friends in a neighborhood that meet almost daily around drinking tea, which has a strong social tradition in Mali. In a context where the situation for this generation is virtually hopeless, this gives them space to make their voices heard and concrete tools to take action themselves.
