Agsol Limited manufactures and sells solar-powered agro-processing machines for communities that are not connected to the general electricity grid. These machines process the most important foodstuffs, such as millet, cassava, grain, rice and corn, into edible food products. These crushers replace current alternatives that run on diesel and can contribute to more economic activity in rural areas. Funding from DOEN will enable Agsol to improve produce and sell 570 crushers within 2 years, giving more than 50,000[1] farmers access to these services.
