Circulair model voor kinderfietsen - Stichting DOEN

Bike Flip is a sustainable company that wants to extend the lifespan of (children’s) bicycles through a Product as a Service (PaaS) model. BikeFlip buys children’s bicycles from the bicycle depot, refurbishes them and rents these bicycles to parents with repair and exchange service. With this Product as a Service model, parents are relieved, and BikeFlip prevents children’s bicycles from ending up in landfills again. In addition, BikeFlip works together with the municipality of Utrecht to give people in deprived neighbourhoods easy access to a bicycle and to encourage bicycle maintenance. BikeFlip works with sheltered workshops, to give people with a distance to the labor market a job by refurbishing and repairing the bicycles.
