The Places are physical knowledge and practice centres where farmers work together with food organisations, researchers and citizen collectives on a sustainable food and agriculture system. The Places will be spread throughout the Netherlands and will be connected to each other in a knowledge network. The initiative for the Places was taken by a large number of forerunners in the agricultural transition, including Herenboeren, Wij.land, Aardpeerende Boerenraad. The first place is De Kleine Aarde in Boxtel. The agricultural transition can be accelerated by cooperation in the Places.
