Action for Hope
Action for Hope has been offering art and culture activities in refugee camps in Lebanon and Jordan since 2015. The organization works with artists who have partly fled themselves. In the meantime, the activities have been expanded to Yemen, Syria, Sudan, Egypt, Morocco and Iraq, among others. Now, after the Hamas attacks on Israel on October 7, 2023 and the outbreak of the war in Gaza, Action for Hope is working with partners to help their partner artists and art institutions in Gaza who are now also forced to flee or survive. About 30-40 artists receive financial support between 1000 and 1500 Euro. This support is a modest contribution to the preservation of the entire cultural sector in Gaza, which is currently in danger of disappearing.
