3poli Cultural Alliance
Rumman and El Warche 13 are two small independent cultural initiatives in neighboring neighborhoods in Tripoli in Lebanon. From 2023 onwards, they will work closely with each other, but also with local residents and other independent cultural organisations in organising all kinds of activities such as concerts, performances and children’s activities. With these collaborations, a foundation has been laid for building 3poli Cultural Alliance: a consortium of various cultural grassroots initiatives. In this way, in a context of scarcity, knowledge, networks and facilities are shared with each other with the ultimate goal of strengthening independent cultural offerings in Tripoli. This gives people the opportunity to take control themselves and to have a say and free space to do and discuss those things that are important to them.
