My DOEN

Policy

The DOEN Foundation is designated as an ANBI (Public Benefit Organization) institution. In addition to the ANBI regulations, DOEN applies the following guidelines: CBF guidelines and requirements, Code of Conduct of Goede Doelen Nederland, FIN Governance Standards, Code of Good Governance and the Regulations for the Remuneration of Charity Directors.

Transparency at a glance: the CBF Certificate of Recognition
The CBF Certificate of Recognition presents the key information of a certified charity in a clear and neutral way—transparency at a glance. The passport includes both qualitative information about the organization’s mission and activities, as well as financial key figures. The latter have been validated by the CBF. You can view our CBF Recognition Passport here (in Dutch).

Objective
The DOEN Foundation believes that a green, social and creative society is achievable.
The world is full of enterprising people with sustainable, cultural, and social initiatives. People who dare to take risks to bring their often groundbreaking ideas to life and inspire others. DOEN provides these individuals with financial support to realize their initiatives and connects them with one another.

Policy plans
Our plans can be found in our annual plan. How DOEN will operate in the coming years is described in our Strategic Compass 2023–2027. Both documents are available on our website under publications.

Data protection
The DOEN Foundation places great importance on data security, both for its partners and its staff. This policy is periodically reviewed by an external party. Measures have been taken to prevent data breaches and – should they occur – to take the necessary actions.

Following new legislation, data security has been reassessed, and procedures and approaches have been further strengthened.

Risk analysis
A risk analysis has been prepared by the board of the DOEN Foundation and has been thoroughly discussed with and approved by the Supervisory Board.

Current report on activities and financial accountability
On our website and social media, you can find the latest news about the projects supported by DOEN.
In our 2024 annual report, you will find, among other things:
– Information about our themes and projects;
– Our strategy, intended results, and what we have achieved;
– DOEN’s financial figures for 2024 and an explanation of these figures.

Integrity policy
The DOEN Foundation makes every effort to prevent misconduct and violations. However, if there are suspicions of misconduct or violations, DOEN aims to address them seriously and respond appropriately. We have therefore established a reporting point that allows anyone involved with DOEN — internally or externally — to report suspected misconduct and violations.

Read more about our integrity policy and how to file a report on this page.
