Enhancing Disability Participation in Arts - Stichting DOEN

AAU from Mayuge, Uganda, functions as a creative breeding ground for people with and without disabilities. For the next two years, she will organize residencies for talented artists and training programs in creative skills in collaboration with Paper Craft Africa and Africa Arts Kollective. She also connects talented artists to her network and shows work to a wide audience through open studios, blogs and through markets in Jinja and beyond. In this way, AAU creates an inclusive place for art, culture, meeting, collaboration and entrepreneurship where everyone – from artist to local resident – feels at home.
