Wilderway welcomes three new partners for making European nature restoration investable

Wilderway is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Rebalance Earth, Triodos Regenerative Money Center and Stichting DOEN. Rebalance Earth and Triodos – acting through Triodos Sustainable Finance Foundation – will become new shareholders in Wilderway, and Stichting DOEN provides funding to accelerate the development of nature credits.

This collaboration marks a powerful step in a shared vision to drive forward nature restoration at landscape level across Europe. By combining expertise, networks and resources, we will work together to scale the development of investable nature restoration financed by certified carbon and nature credits, delivering benefits for nature, climate and local communities.

This partnership builds on the incubation of Wilderway by the NGO Rewilding Europe, funded by Grantham Foundation for the Protection of the Environment, and strengthens Wilderway’s mission to make Europe a wilder place by mobilising money for large-scale nature restoration. Restoring nature at scale is essential to tackling climate change, reversing biodiversity loss, and building resilient communities. Strong partnerships are crucial for working at landscape scale, making this investment by these like-minded investors a key milestone for Wilderway’s development.

Wilderway is a project developer of carbon and nature credits, with the aim to make nature restoration investable and scale-up European rewilding. By bringing together landowners, buyers and unique nature restoration projects, Wilderway works on making Europe a wilder place. Having launched credit projects in Spain, Portugal, Ireland and Scotland, this new partnerships allows Wilderway to scale its existing projects in these countries, as well as explore new opportunities for credit development and sales across the company’s European networks.
