Hul le Kes is a fashion label that was created as a reaction to today’s society and the fashion system. (Western) society has an unachievable pursuit of perfection in which people have to meet beauty ideals and the right career. The clothing industry also demands (too) much from the world by striving for unachievable perfection in products and impossibly low prices. Hul le Kes believes that we must learn to let go of that desire for perfection in people and products. The current pursuit of perfection causes exhaustion of people and nature. At the same time, the pursuit of perfection ensures that (bio)diversity, inclusivity and circularity are made impossible.
