The Caravane Culturelle pour la Paix is a travelling festival in North and South Mali and Morocco. It brings together musicians, craftsmen, refugees and various population groups that are becoming increasingly separated due to the crisis situation in the Sahara region. It shows that there has always been a rich history of positive contact, trade and exchange of knowledge between these areas. As well as musical inspiration, the festival also promotes peace and social cohesion. The Caravane is a great response to the present crisis situation in Mali and the Sahara region. This project is supported by the DOEN Foundation since 2013.
