New economy
DOEN seeks new initiatives that give entrepreneurship an innovatory, sustainable interpretation. With this DOEN wishes to make a demonstrable, positive contribution to a liveable world in which everyone can make a contribution (people, nature and the environment). Making a profit is a means and not the main objective.
DOEN focuses on (starting) sustainable entrepreneurs and new economic structures. In addition there is special interest for Social enterprises, i.e. enterprises with a double objective, commercial and ideal, that offer daytime activities, teaching, work training or work to people with a labour market disadvantage. Further, within this topic DOEN focuses on specifically filling in new concepts such as Cradle to Cradle for companies and creative people.
