DOEN Foundation finances this company via its subsidiary DOEN Participaties BV in Tendris Holding BV. Tendris BV was founded in 2002 and refers to itself as an ‘initiating company’. It starts up enterprises and projects of a sustainable nature.
Lemnis Lighting, one of the Tendris holdings, wants to make it possible to switch from the current energy-intensive lighting solutions to energy-efficient alternatives, without thereby making concessions to meeting customers’ needs. The company is therefore helping consumers, businesses and policy makers to reduce CO2 emissions and save energy by using LED lighting.
Lemnis Lighting develops products, which consumers, policy makers and businesses can use all over the world to combat climate change by replacing traditional lighting with LED technology. The advantages of LED lighting go beyond energy saving. Maintenance and replacement costs can also be lower and at the end of its serviceable life, the light does not need to be disposed of by chemical means.
