Giving a voice to the voiceless
Setting up and developing radio stations for people who live under dictatorships with the aim of providing an independent news service and creating a climate of independent media.
With this programme, DOEN supports the development of independent media in countries where they are most needed. By combining reports by citizens and journalists from the countries themselves and final editing and broadcasting from the Netherlands, complete independence is achieved in the reports and the basis is laid for a climate of independent media in the country itself.
